AWFlow vs n8n: same power, no server.

- A browser extension — install and go
- Acts on the pages you are already logged into
- Free on-device AI, no per-run fees
- Self-host it or use n8n Cloud
- Runs 24/7, independent of any browser
- A very large catalogue of integrations
Both are serious, node-based automation tools. Pick n8n for always-on server workflows; pick AWFlow for work that happens in your browser — or use both.

Des univers différents. Des points forts différents.
Nous n'avons marqué un avantage que lorsqu'un outil est nettement meilleur pour cette tâche. Chacun en cumule plusieurs, et c'est très bien.
| 01 · En un coup d'œil | n8n | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | In your browser, as an extension. Runs while the browser is open. | On a server: your own (self-hosted) or n8n Cloud.1 |
| Setup | Avantage · AWFlowInstall the extension. No account, no server, no email. | Start an n8n Cloud trial, or deploy it yourself (for example with Docker).13 |
| Pricing model | Avantage · AWFlowLocal mode is free with no usage limits from us. Cloud AI keys you add are billed by that provider. | Free Community Edition when you self-host (you pay for hosting). n8n Cloud plans are priced by monthly workflow executions.23 |
| Acts on web pages you are logged into | Avantage · AWFlowYes — reads, clicks and fills in your own tab, with per-site access you approve. | Works from the server through integration nodes and HTTP requests rather than in your own browser tab.9 |
| Local AI | Built in: Chrome built-in AI, WebLLM, Transformers.js and TensorFlow.js run on your device. Ollama too. | Can use local models you run yourself, for example through its Ollama nodes. Cloud AI providers with your keys.4 |
| Self-hosting | Nothing to host. Data stays in your browser in local mode; there is no server to self-host. | Avantage · n8nYes — a core strength. Full control over your own instance and data.128 |
| 24/7 cloud execution | No. Workflows need the browser open. Long waits (up to 30 days) survive closing the tab. | Avantage · n8nYes. Schedules and webhooks run around the clock on the server.9 |
| Integrations breadth | 22 app integrations, plus Custom API (OpenAPI), HTTP requests and any website you can open. | Avantage · n8nA far larger catalogue: n8n.io lists more than 2,300 integrations, and community nodes add more.56 |
| Community templates | Community templates in the Marketplace, each showing what it touches. | Avantage · n8nA large, long-established library: n8n.io lists more than 10,000 community workflow templates.7 |
| Learning curve | No-code canvas; Aria can draft a workflow from a sentence. Gentle start. | Powerful; expressions, JSON and (if self-hosting) some server setup are part of the picture. |

Choisissez selon l'endroit où le travail se fait.
Your workflows live on a server.
- Workflows must run 24/7, even when every laptop is closed
- You want to self-host and control the server and its data
- You need inbound webhooks and server-to-server integrations
- You rely on an app only n8n has a node for
- A team or ops group owns the automation infrastructure
The work happens in your browser.
- The work happens on web pages — including ones behind your login
- You want to start in a minute, with no server or account
- You want AI that runs on your own device, free and private
- You would rather not pay per run
- You want right-click, hotkey and side-panel automations
Use both. Each where it shines.
Let AWFlow do the browser-side part — reading a page you're logged into, clicking, summarising on-device — then hand the result to an n8n webhook with AWFlow's HTTP Request node. n8n carries on server-side, around the clock.
It works the other way too: an AWFlow workflow can call any URL, so it can fetch from an n8n endpoint you expose.
AWFlowReads the page in your logged-in tab- HTTP RequestPOSTs the result as JSON
- n8n webhookEnriches, stores, follows up 24/7
Switch the browser parts in an afternoon.
There's no importer for n8n workflows. Browser-side workflows tend to be short, so rebuilding is quick.
Sort your workflows
List what your n8n workflows do. Mark the ones that read pages, need your login, or only run while you work — those are the browser candidates.
Rebuild from a template
Start from a Marketplace template (installing one needs a free sign-in), or describe the workflow to Aria in Build mode and review the draft before it goes live.
Connect the rest
Keep server workflows on n8n. Link the two with an HTTP Request node in AWFlow and a Webhook trigger in n8n.
Des questions légitimes.
La documentation couvre chaque nœud d'AWFlow en détail.
Ouvrir la documentation ↗Is AWFlow a replacement for n8n?
For some workflows, yes — anything that happens in the browser. For always-on, server-side automation, n8n is the better tool, and many people will want both.
Can I import my n8n workflows?
Not today. The node models differ, so there is no direct importer. Browser-side workflows are usually short, and Aria can draft one from a plain description.
Does AWFlow run when my computer is off?
No. AWFlow runs inside your browser, so the browser needs to be open. A run can pause for up to 30 days and pick up again, even if you closed its tab — but it will not run on a powered-off machine.
Is n8n open source?
n8n describes its Sustainable Use License as a fair-code license: the source is available, with limits on commercial use, and the Community Edition is free to self-host. See n8n's docs for the exact terms.
Which is cheaper?
It depends on volume and hosting. AWFlow local mode is free and on-device AI costs nothing. n8n Community Edition is free if you host it; n8n Cloud is billed by executions. Cloud AI keys cost the same in either tool.
