Community guidelines

Welcome

This forum is for people who build with AWFlow: ask, answer, share workflows and suggest ideas. It uses the same account as the Academy and the extension.

Be kind and specific. Everyone here was new once.

Asking a question that gets answered fast

Write it for someone who cannot see your screen.

  • Search first: someone may have solved it already. Try the node name plus the symptom.
  • One question per topic, with a title that says what is wrong (“Element Change fires twice on a React shop”), not “Help!”.
  • Say what you expected and what happened instead.
  • Add your extension version and your browser (shown in the extension settings).
  • Attach the workflow (.awf) or paste the node settings. Remove API keys, tokens and passwords first.
  • Tag the trigger and the apps involved, and choose the language you write in.
  • When a reply solves it, mark it as the solution so the next person finds the answer.

Answering

Answer the question that was asked. Explain why, not only what, and link the docs page of the node when it helps.

  • If you fixed their workflow, attach the corrected .awf.
  • Be patient with beginners; nobody is “just” anything.
  • Disagree with ideas, never with people.

Sharing workflows safely

Workflows you attach can be opened by anyone in AWFlow. Before you share one, check its node settings for secrets.

  • Never paste API keys, tokens, passwords or private URLs.
  • Say what the workflow touches (pages, apps, local data) in one line.
  • Show & tell is for things you built; the marketplace is for templates others can install.

Kudos, levels and badges

Kudos reward help, not volume: an accepted solution is worth 10, a reply the AWFlow team marks helpful 5, a shared workflow someone reuses 2, a like on a reply 1. Likes on your own topics and self-accepted answers do not count.

Levels follow your trust and kudos: New member, Member, Regular (50 kudos), Leader (200 kudos). Badges mark milestones, including your Academy certificate and published templates.

Moderation and reporting

A new member’s first posts are reviewed by a moderator before they appear. After that, posts go live at once.

Use “Report” on a post that is spam, abusive or off topic. Moderators can hide posts, lock or move topics and suspend accounts that break these guidelines.
