How it works

  1. Right-click a selection

    Adds this workflow to the right-click menu whenever you have text selected.

  2. Get selected text

    Reads the full text you highlighted on the page. The context-menu event only carries a short, truncated copy, so this node gets the complete selection reliably.

  3. Count words

    Counts how many words are in your selection.

  4. Count characters

    Counts the characters in your original selection.

  5. Reading minutes

    Estimates reading time by dividing the word count by 200 words per minute.

  6. Show the stats

    Shows the word count, character count, and reading time in a notification.
