Selection to Wikipedia: a workflow with 6 steps, starting with Right-click a selection and ending with Show the summary.

  1. Right-click a selection (Context Menu — open its doc page)Note: Adds this workflow to the right-click menu whenever you have text selected.
  2. Get selected text (In-page action — open its doc page)Note: Reads the full text you highlighted on the page. The context-menu event only carries a short, truncated copy, so this node gets the complete selection reliably.
  3. Build the Wikipedia URL (Code — open its doc page)Note: Python: turns your selection into a Wikipedia page title and builds the summary API link. The last line is the result.
  4. Look up Wikipedia (Http Request — open its doc page)Note: Calls the free Wikipedia REST summary API — no credentials required.
  5. Pick the summary (Pick Field — open its doc page)Note: Pulls the summary paragraph out of the Wikipedia response.
  6. Show the summary (Display Markdown — open its doc page)Note: Displays the Wikipedia title and summary right where you're working.
