AWFlow vs Zapier: your browser, not just your apps.

AWFlow
Runs in your browser
  • A browser extension — install and go
  • Acts on the pages you are already logged into
  • Free on-device AI, no per-task fees
Zapier
Runs in the cloud
  • Fully hosted — nothing to install
  • Runs 24/7 in the cloud
  • Thousands of app integrations

Zapier is excellent at connecting cloud apps on its own servers. Pick Zapier for app-to-app automation that runs around the clock; pick AWFlow when the work happens on web pages in your browser — or use both.

Different homes. Different strengths.

We marked an edge only where one tool is clearly better at that job. They take several of them, and that's fine.

02 · The honest pick

Choose by where the work happens.

Choose Zapier if…

Your apps talk to each other in the cloud.

  • Your automations must run 24/7 with every laptop closed
  • You mostly connect cloud apps to each other through their APIs
  • You need an app only Zapier connects to
  • Your team needs shared workspaces and admin controls
  • You want a fully hosted service with nothing installed
Choose AWFlow if…

The work happens in your browser.

  • The work happens on web pages — including ones behind your login
  • You want to start in a minute, with no account
  • You want AI that runs on your own device, free and private
  • You would rather not pay per task
  • You want right-click, hotkey and side-panel automations
03 · Better together

Use both. Each where it shines.

Let AWFlow do the browser-side part — reading a page you're logged into, clicking, summarising on-device — then send the result to a Zapier webhook trigger with AWFlow's HTTP Request node. Zapier carries on in the cloud.

Zapier's webhook trigger is on its paid plans. AWFlow can call any URL, so it can also fetch from endpoints your Zaps expose.

Example · Page captured in the browser, routed in the cloud
  1. AWFlow
Reads the page in your logged-in tab
  2. HTTP Request
    POSTs the result as JSON
  3. Zapier webhook
Routes it to your apps around the clock
04 · Moving some workflows over

Move the browser parts in an afternoon.

There's no importer for Zaps. Browser-side automations tend to be short, so rebuilding is quick.

  1. Sort your Zaps

List what they do. Mark the ones that start from copying something off a web page, or only matter while you work.

  2. Rebuild from a template

Start from a Marketplace template (installing one needs a free sign-in), or describe it to Aria in Build mode and review the draft.

  3. Connect the rest

Keep app-to-app Zaps on Zapier. Link the two with an HTTP Request node in AWFlow and a webhook trigger in Zapier.

Is AWFlow a replacement for Zapier?

For work that happens on web pages, often yes. For hosted app-to-app automation that must run around the clock, Zapier is the better fit — and they work well together.

Can I import my Zaps?

No. The models differ, so there is no importer. Browser-side automations are usually short, and Aria can draft one from a plain description.

Does AWFlow run when my computer is off?

No. AWFlow runs inside your browser, so the browser needs to be open. Long waits survive closing the tab, but not a powered-off machine.

Which is cheaper?

AWFlow local mode is free, and on-device AI costs nothing. Zapier has a free plan, and its paid plans are sold in task tiers. Cloud AI keys cost the same in either tool.
