How do I fill and submit a web form from saved values?

8 minIntermediateUpdated October 12, 2026AWFlow 0.8.2

Short answer

Keep your answers in an Edit Fields node, pause with Wait For Approval so nothing is typed until you approve, then let Form Fill type each value into the field with the matching id and Submit Form send it. Run it from the right-click menu on the page with the form. Run Get Forms Schema once to list the real field ids of your form.

Try it in AWFlow

Opens this guide's workflow in AWFlow. You review it before anything is saved.

Run it and check the result

Common problems

Some fields stay empty

Their ids differ from the ones in Form Fill. Use Get Forms Schema to read the real ids.

The wrong form is filled

The page has several forms. Change formSelector in Form Fill and the DOM Selector in Submit Form to target the right one, such as #contact-form.

The run seems stuck

It's waiting for your approval. Approve it in the run panel or the in-page card.

Collect only what you need, keep the run rate reasonable, and respect each site's terms of use.
